前言：

我想認真的完成一件事，從頭到尾的完成一件事。

在自己的人生道路上，
除了在工作上從頭到尾參與了某樣產品的開發到上市，
但實際上自己想做的事卻從來沒有真的做完整過。

所以我下定決心要翻譯完一張梅爾醫的專輯，以示我對音樂人生的負責。

今天就是卯起勁來做這件事，感覺很有衝勁。

在翻譯之前，我其實對這首歌也沒真的很愛，
而且在還沒認真要翻譯之前根本也沒認真聽，
我還以為喬治亞是個女人呢！真是十足的鄉巴佬，沒見過世面。

蒐集完一堆資料之後才知道這是他在柏克萊肄業後，
前往喬治亞州開啟他的音樂事業所掙札的一些事。

另外，在一首一首的翻譯才知道，歌曲是有相關性的，
因為歌詞若有提到地點，都是在喬治亞州發生的故事。

後記：

在Song Meaning跟Genius這兩個網站看熱心人的評註，大概知道，
他是駛在285州際路上發生的事，交通打結，
而且還忘記帶自己的吉他，只能在車上發悶。(但後來歌詞是改了啦)

另外就是，他在這種狀態下也不願回到公寓，
因為他懷疑這種音樂生涯的決定，回家就代表要去工作或面到不開心的事。

而身處這樣的狀態，他一方面覺得，在喬治亞州展開音樂事業是對的嗎？
另外一方面又覺得，喬治亞州怎麼讓他忘記帶吉他又身陷車陣呢？

所以他懷疑，在這陌生的地方沒有情感的連結，
怎麼佈置也不像家，去留都將無所謂，
同時也把這些不安歸咎於青年對前途茫茫，心無所恃的感覺上。

不過為了追求事業，還是強迫自己吞下去，並面對工作上必要面對的全新面孔。

一直到最後還是忍不住問，這樣的決定是對的嗎？
就算都是天註定了，難道不能再問自己嗎？
既然都這樣了，那就相信自己所做的決定吧！

然後，他在23歲發了這張專輯，大嗚大放。
因為有很多青年人喜歡這首歌，不自覺得地把自己代入該情境上。

我自己在初出社會也是有懷疑要幹嘛，
但至少我知道我讀什麼科系後要做什麼樣的工作賺錢。

只是照化弄人，做的事完全都變成另外一件事，
不變的只有用原本學校習得的技能工作罷了。
